CPQ (Compaq Computer)...just bought it on the advice of my favorite local stock adviser, who says it's a "sleeping giant" at $30 and could go up tomorrow as a result of Michael Dell's meeting with the analysts, when good news will probably be reported for Dell. CPQ has gone up 3/16 in the short while I've had it, and the volume is high today.

Another reason to consider: Infoworld Magazine of 3/29 lists the top five leaders in PC sales in fourth quarter/1998 as follows:

Number of Computers shipped
Compaq (1,949,000)
Dell (1,375,000)
Gateway (981,000)
IBM (978,000)
HP (777,000)
