To anyone

I have 3 hdd. One is used as service utility drive for the other two operational drives. I'd like to install Diskeeper and Seagate Backup Exec onto the service drive to automatically defrag and backup the 2 operations drives on a nitely basis while I'm asleep. But I don't want to have to reboot every nite onto the service drive..I'd just like to leave booted whichever of the two operations drives is booted and have Diskeeper and Backup Exec do their thing.

Is this going to work the way I've descibed or is booting into the drive these apps reside upon a necessity?
