They just make the husbands sit in the waiting room. I had both my kids "natural," Bradley method, kinda like Lamaze, my husband was supposed to be "coach," but my sister, who is a labor-and-delivery-room nurse, did the real coaching, he wasn't much help. He did get a big kick out of seeing the kids being born. He said, as soon as Benjamin popped his head out, he looked around, very surprised.
