I liked the idea that the Company Chairman is taking common stock in lieu of Pay. He must have a sense of faith in the Company.
From a press release in January:

With the continued improvement of our business and the recent determination by Nasdaq that our Common Stock will be unconditionally listed on the SmallCap Market, we are pleased with our strategic direction. The Company continues to position itself for long-term growth, and we look forward to a productive 1999,'' stated Mark E. Leininger, President and Chief Operating Officer of SPCH.

The Company also announced that its Chairman of the Board, Marc E. Jaffe, has elected to be paid $22,500 of his compensation for services rendered to the Company in shares of Common Stock. Marc E. Jaffe stated: ''By my election to receive stock in lieu of cash compensation for my duties as Chairman of the Board, I am demonstrating my belief that the Company's stock has remained undervalued, and my belief in our ability to continue to generate long-term increases in shareholder value.''
