Baby Bells seem like likely bidders all right. Additionally, to my (maybe naive) way of thinking, LVLT's forsight in laying a number of extra conduits essentially positions it offer several bidders equal and independent opportunities to buy an instant nationwide backbone to be filled with whatever the bidder then perceives to be state of the art fiber. Maybe I'm not viewing this correctly, but it seems as though LVLT can essentially sell an immensely valuable core asset multiple times.
