lml..regarding scalability

I apologize if my post was unclear. I never meant that the DirecPC product was scalable, I was referring to wireless in general. I am not certain that the telco's are keen on investing a large chunk of change to upgrade their copper delivery system. Living in Los Angeles, you can see how little xDSL has penetrated this area. I live in Orange County and have a cable modem from MediaOne. I am currently experiencing near T1 (downstream) access, but at peak times, I can see a substantial decrease in speed.

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - AT&T Corp. is too busy after just closing its acquisition of cable group Tele-Communications Inc. to contemplate merging its At Home Corp. Internet service with Time Warner Inc.'s rival RoadRunner service, a top AT&T official said Friday."

...too busy indeed!
