Another NON NOVEL PATENT. Not sure measurement of LBP is of any use. Apparently lack of comment by XOMA on patents indicates they have little importance. United States Patent 5,891,618 White , et al. April 6, 1999 Method for quantifying LBP in body fluids Abstract The present invention provides a method for quantifying the presence of extracellular LBP in body fluids including blood in a subject comprising conducting an LBP immunoassay on plasma obtained from said subject.
