Brian. I must mention here that I'm purely speculating about Stratasys pursuing the development of a metal prototyper. It's just the next logical development area for this company after they complete the design of their 8000 machine. But maybe they will concentrate on developing faster machines if they find buyers flocking to 3D's new Actua prototyper. In general, I don't think we will see a metal prototyper delivered by Stratasys for about 1.5 to 2 years.

I became fixated on a possible metal prototyper after researching a company now developing this type of machine. Stratasys' ignoring these developments would be akin to the way Microsoft ignored the development of the web during the early hype days. I think Stratasys management is too smart to ignore the metal prototyping market. Can the NC Mills machine build prototypes that require a complex layer approach?? I thought those machines used cutters albeit highly accurate cutters.

Good luck on your short, you can make money both ways with this stock. After Stratasys announces their 4th qtr. earnings this week, I'm going to have to move quickly to decide what the new trading range is likely to be. With small cap stocks these days, I have a strict "show me" type of attitude and so I won't take a position even in this stock until earnings are announced. But then again, I don't have any stock positions at this time and so it will take a compelling reason to bring me back to this manic market.

Regards,
David
