Dan,
I certainly don't pretend to be an expert on Christianity or the bible, but I am smart enough to know that there is an element of compassion in Christianity.

<<Alcoholism is a sin, not a disease. The only cure for sin is the blood of Christ, not some AA meeting. AA meetings are more addictive than alcohol and do nothing for the sinful drunkard who has never know Christ.>>

The absolute meanness and spitefulness that is inherent in these comments is shocking and has nothing to do with religion. It has much to do with arrogance and ignorance.

<< AA meetings are more addictive than alcohol and do nothing for the sinful drunkard who has never know Christ. >>

The implication here is that there are no true believers who are alcoholics. Obviously that is false. There are true believers of all faiths that are sadly victims of this horrible disease.

If these words of Emile's don't prove to all here that he is consumed with a self righteous hatred, I don't know what will.
