...the intervention of NATO into what it would normally shun as an "internal" conflict raises a whole host of questions,which I have also thought about, but will have to save for another time... Oh no you don't. Now that I have hold of you, you can't leave. Tell me of those questions. [Is my interviewing technique getting any better?] Seriously, I am greatly disturbed by several world events. One is the fact that former communist countries like Yugoslavia that appeared to have a handle on at least smoothing over thousand year old ethinic conflicts were destabilized. Second, why is this conflict more important than, say, the Kurds. Is it because we would arouse the ire of Turkey? Finally, why does the United States feel compelled to assume leadership in a European conflict? TTFN, CTC
