Symbol Technologies is a large manufacturer of electronic equipment, mainly bar code scanners like you would see in a supermarket, and portable terminals for bar code scanning and data entry. Symbol is not in (and has shown no interest in being in) the transaction processing business, so they are not competition for BETT.
