Observations: JDN: Considering some of our parallel investing tracks (SUNW & EMC...talk about last year's no brainers),I was saddened that you would accuse me of lack of DD. Why do you think I continue to tuck a few dollars into TAVA? Very tasty revenue increases over the last three years; finally, a net income bounce; Debt/Equity pared down to acceptable level; price-sales dandy; Book value, while still modest, steadily increasing; ROE, great! and at last, a real live profit margin!!! Don't quite know what to make of AMR gathering. Frankly, I can't imagine supposed 350 security analysts trekking to Seventh and 52nd at $995.00 a head, unless they let those types in free. At first glance, it doesn't look like there's a real draw here...but I'm not sophisticated in the ways of the street, so maybe somebody else can tell me what the appeal is. I'm not especially impressed with so-called 'sponsors'. I was happy to see a genuine large capper in Oracle, which currently needs some help. Peoplesoft is way off their highs; Trion is so tiny, it should be called a quark-cap(with about as much of a charge); Aspen Technology is kind of entertaining, seeing as how they're one of the worst performers on the street...You get the idea. Aside to Olu. You sold Keane??? Say it ain't so, brother. Having said all the above, a tiny part of me is tempted to attend anyway. I miss the Port Authority bus hauls from Newark. Yes, Newark! I doubt I'll go, but if Captain Jack (MM or no)is going, I might keep him company. Have to do some quick schedule checking. Rick: Thanks for your reasoned response. I still think you're the guy to chat with JJ. You talk the same language and would know the appropriate questions.
