Maybe so Scumbria but if all they have out there is Alpha Silicon, they are a long way away from production. Remember it was ready for production last December <G>. All the info that is slowing leaking out is more disappointing then encouraging for the Kmart-7 (tm pengle). Plus AMD's admission last week that the Kmart-7 won't be able to compete with Coppermine leaves it on the midrange desktop for Q3. Re: "If AMD expects to compete at the high end of the CPU marketplace at the same price tag, they better have a part that outperforms the equivalent costing CPU from Intel. Right now they don't. And with the Intel P3-550 three weeks away from its intro, along with the powerful .18micron Coppermine P3-600 coming in August, AMD might be in more trouble then any of us can appreciate.
