Net Nanny Software International has made several promotions and
appointments for managers within the company. These changes will enhance
management's ability to solidify the company's leadership position in the
global Internet filtering and computer security market.
Tom Yerex, an employee since 1997, has been appointed a director of the
company and has also been promoted to chief technology officer. Mr. Yerex
is responsible for managing product development, testing and quality
control as well as the research and development of new technologies that
focus on Internet filtering and computer security. In his role as CTO he
advises the chief executive officer and other members of management on
technology trends and assures that the company is developing solutions that
addresses the needs of the market. He plays a key role in building
relationships with prospective partners by enhancing communication with
leading computer companies, while overseeing product training for the
company's general staff to help the company maintain its competitive edge.
John C. Dumfries, the company's accountant since June 1998, has been
promoted to controller. Mr. Dumfries is responsible for prompt, reliable
and accurate financial reporting, managing all facets of the accounting
cycle and implementing internal control procedures to ensure financial
stability and cost-conscious practices for the company. Past experience
includes positions with KPMG, Evancic Perrault Robertson and Wolrige Mahon.
Denise G. Sosa, hired in 1996 as executive assistant to Gordon Ross,
president and CEO, has been appointed secretary of the company. She
provides Mr. Ross with administrative support and exercises legal signing
authority with respect to general corporate correspondence, regulatory
filings, private stock placements and official record keeping at annual
general meetings. She brings over 25 years' of experience in the
corporate/legal, administration, accounting and secretarial fields to Net
Nanny through employment with a Vancouver law firm and other companies. Ms.
Sosa has a strong working knowledge of the policies and procedures of
public companies listed on the Vancouver Stock Exchange.
Nika Herford, an employee since 1998 and managing executive of Net Nanny
Software Inc., the company's U.S. subsidiary in Bellevue, Wash., changes
titles from public relations to public affairs and media. The broader
designation more accurately reflects her responsibilities as the manager of
press relations, lobbying efforts with governmental organizations, general
public outreach and coalition building with a variety of child advocacy,
civil liberty and computer industry representatives.
