Lovers at War


Two young lovers
Being torn apart
They know they've done nothing wrong
But people won't listen
People whisper in a hush
and stare down at them with dissaproval
Forced to keep their feelings inside
No one can understand
because they have all forgotten
They don't remember the way they felt at that age
Your heart pounding with anticipation
Afraid of the things that may come
These two young lovers briefly look
into each other's eyes
They can see and feel each other's pain
but the way people act is so mundain
They think they know what's going on
but they are so wrong
Why can't these lovers feel the way they feel
Why do they have to worry about what everyone else thinks and feels
It's so sad that they have to ignore each other
to please everyone but themselves
Why should they be forced to only be together in secret
They are tired of the gossip
Tired of trying to hide their love
as though it isn't there
They will take their stand
Do what they believe in
They will fight together
And no matter what it takes they will
TRIUMPH!!!!!!!
