This sounds like a mature judgement. However,
all the software is written and optimized for P-II,
with ILP right on the processor capabilities,
and P-III apparently took into account major programming
patterns from M$S bloatware. How do you expect
to outperform this clinch of Intel hardware and
Microsoft software? Don't you think that the
Mustang-K7 (tm Allen Kim) can do significantly
better only on the software specifically optimized
for K7?
