I think this is a "do or die" quarter for Borders. Were the excuses given for performance below expectations last quarter legitimate, or just hot air? Expectations are low, and had better be met or exceeded.

As for the stores: I like them, and I like the people who staff them, but I think they need to be more aggressive on price (especially in the music department). I find myself browsing Borders, but buying at the competition (even though I'm a Borders shareholder!).

JMHO, as always.
