Why not? Businesses can initially use auction to liquidate their out of date inventory. This should be very attractive for business to do.
They no longer need to pile up old models or hard-to-sell models and eventually write them off as business losses. Their old stuffs always have a place to be sold. I would be very happy to buy a new, end-of-line camera if the price is significantly reduced. Merchants can liquidate their out-of-fashion dress on the web. No need for outlet centers any more. My point is, if eBay doesn't catch this business market, AMZN will, when eBay wake up to the reality, it might be too late. I hope eBay's management is as good as AMZN or YHOO's.

The latest Motley Fool interview with their VP suggests that eBay will not try something new for the time being. That worries me.
