Ellen,
Regarding Dr. Hed's email offering you an opportunity to participate in a fledgling company: Although you did not choose to participate, I think it is safe to say that perhaps some did.
And if any did.... and did not get their money totally refunded when the venture did not receive adequate funding, we can all be sure that we would have heard of it. Here, and elsewhere.
I, for one, appreciate Zeev's efforts to point out some of the poisoned apples in the investing world. And I learn from his posts what to look for... and look out for.
As regards TSIG.com (no I do not hold any position, long or short), IMO, Zeev posted a very explicit list of questions, THE ANSWERS TO WHICH SHOULD BE OF GREAT INTEREST TO EVERY POTENTIAL OR CURRENT SHAREHOLDER, and which could easily be reworded to apply to any corporation executive. I would agree that perhaps the tone of the list was biased a bit negatively, but in my limited experience (28 years in the market) a healthy skepticism is financially a lot healthier than tutus and pompoms.
