Hi Diana-
I agree that this caused the decline but I don't think it really applies to Rational. If they would have felt impact from the Millenium bug, they would have felt it last year when people stopped by application development products because all projects are on hold. Most big companies are already at the end of the Y2K issue and are starting to fund internal projects- it would imply increased sales going forward.

I think this is a screaming buy, Diana. I talked with my analyst buddies this morning who cover RATL- they think this is a sector play and also think that with everyone preannouncing, they are looking at the Rationals and Mercurys and saying- "why not them?"

I sold other stocks and bought more this morning. I don't think it will do it again, but I'm a buyer at 23.5 or below.
