Glad to see some higher priced stocks mentioned on this thread. I believe there is more money to be made in the larger, more liquid stocks. They are also easier to trade. OTC BB stocks scare me and the orders seem longer to fill. I usually don't trade sub $5.00 stocks unless their volume is over 500,000 on average and they are backed by analysts and those hard to find, unless it's a beaten down stock from higher levels.
The major brokerage firms and analysts don't cover sub $5.00 stocks. You usually find some off-the-wall firm or news-letter pumping these sub $5.00 stocks. Waste of time IMO. There are exceptions, but the story has to be very good. A few sub $5.00 that have been good to me are ANCR (from 4 to 8), FRNT (from 4 to 9), and LTXX (from 3 3/4 and holding). TUNE could have been, but I was in need of funds and settled for a 2 point gain back in Feb and March. Doh !!!
Some of the larger Internuts I posted here that gave back great short-term returns are GBIX, NITE, NETG, WEBT, VMIX and NSOL. You'll find that you'll make just as much, if not more trading the big, volatile guys. AOL, XCIT, ATHM, ABOV, and EXDS have been great money makers this last month. The risk is no larger than trading a lesser priced issue. It's just a mind-set. That's all.
