Madhur,

#@*! still frustrated.

I'm still trying to reconcile my report. I'm working on my open/unmatched positions. I'm slowly sorting which positions are actually open. I figured I'd start w/ an easy entry a symbol change.
Well, I thought it would be easiest to do that in Quicken....so I went into my registry and changed one of the symbols so they matched then saved and exported into stocktax. I then ran the report and it's still coming up as before....w/ the unmatched symbols? How can I edit the symbols in Stocktax?

So far my total isn't coming close to the correct amount. I'm very concerned that my proceeds match my 1099b....shouldn't this program give me a sum for purchases/sales? Sorting out the unmatched positions isn't easy even with my good paper records. I'm seeing I have to find out what positions were/are open in '97/'99 hopefully once I account for all of the unmatched positions the total will be correct. I just found 1600 shares from 12/31/97...I think I know how to manually record those. I just did that and hit the save button...now it says it was added. I just ran the report again and I'm not seeing this transaction and I'm still -1600 on the unmatched page???? I thought I had it? What did I do wrong?

It looks like most of my other unmatched positions are expired options...I suppose it is only a matter of time for me to manually edit those.

Thanks for the hand holding...

Jeff
