Probably not a good long-term investment. WWCA uses analog and TDMA based digital air-interfaces which will need to be upgraded to CDMA to maintain competitiveness. This will be expensive. There is a lot of competition amongst wireless service providers, why invest in a company that has invested in the wrong technology to gracefully enter the 21st century? They seemed destined to serve a niche market of subscribers who want the absolute lowest cost at the expense of reliability, coverage and sound quality.

There are many service providers for my investment dollars that already have CDMA experience and are investing in the future.

Check out Leap Wireless (LWIN)
