I've seen all of the displays that were shown at this weeks SID conference now.

> What do you think about Silicon Video and its thin CRT?

Silicon Video is NOT exhibiting here, but I will be visiting them in San Jose in about two weeks. They use a FED design with conventional CRT phosphors. Silicon Video is closely tied to many of the companies in the display consortium. SVC's leaders are also leaders in the consortium.

The real question for investors is will their technology make it to market, and will it compete well. It's too early for me to say, but I'll be finding out more in a couple of weeks.

For a good description of how a field emission display (FED) works, see Micron Display Technology's page at micron.com
