I am a bit surprised, but... Soc. Gen increased its participation in ALA, while facing a takeover struggle from BNP. I am not sure it means much and that Soc Gen will go much higher. But i think it is vry posiive that at this time, when SocGen is "distracted", and in need of cash to possibly raise its bid on Paribas, it buys more? And as an insider (the chairman is on ALA board), it is always good isn't it?
Key message: Yesterday Soc Gen reached 2.93% of ownership and 5.05% of voting rights.

La SOCIETE GENERALE franchit en hausse les 5 % dans ALCATEL

Le Conseil des Marchés Financiers annonce que la Société Générale, dans le cadre de ses activités de trading, a franchi en hausse le seuil de 5 % des droits de vote d'Alcatel (+2,66 % à 111,90 euros aujourd'hui en clôture) pour en détenir 5,04 %, soit 2,93 % du capital.
