this doesn't really answer your question but i thought it might be entertaining nonetheless.

take this with a grain of salt but i believe i read an article a few years back that said you could hook up your car phone to your car alarm and that it would call you if it was in the progress of being stolen. You could also tie it in with the electronic chip in your car and by using your cell phone keypad, have your car turn on full-blast either the air conditioner or heater depending on whether you want to make the car thieves sweat during the summer or freeze during the winter. And while your at it, turn on the volume to your car stereo to its highest level and play whatever offending station you decide to switch to. Maybe there's even a way for you to deactivate the locks and windows so they can't get out. The car phone could probably also let you listen to them swearing while all this is going on.

finally, when you've felt that you've had enough fun, you could then activate the kill switch and by use of GPS and Lo-Jack, the local police will have arrived to apprehend the hoodlums.
