Computer Sciences, Novell, Esat Among WSJ 'Darts vs Pros' Picks
New York, April 8 (Bloomberg) -- Shares in Novell Inc., Computer Sciences Corp., Esat Telecom Group Plc and GelTex Pharmaceuticals Inc. will rise more than the Dow Jones Industrial Average over the next six months, according to the four contestants in the Wall Street Journal's ''Darts vs.Pros.'' Novell's earnings forecasts for this year and next are likely to be raised, said Individual Investor Group Chief Executive Jonathan Steinberg, while Computer Sciences' earnings should rise 20 percent annually, said Bramwell Capital Management President Elizabeth Bramwell. Esat Telecom shares are ''significantly undervalued,'' said Founders Asset Management portfolio manager Douglas A. Loeffler, and GelTex's recently introduced polymer- based drug could boost its stock, Sonora Investment Management's Doug Rogers told the paper.
Novell, the No. 2 maker of networking software, and No. 1 personal computer maker Compaq Computer Corp. said last month that it will sell machines that store Internet data on computer networks. (WSJ Interactive Edition 4/8 wsj.com)
