FWIW, Technifilter + has transforms for about 30 different candlesticks. They are a binary 0 or 1 depending on the condition.

I've thought about creating an oscillator that would move based on the bullishness or bearishness of the candlestick pattern currently under display, but I have to learn more about them before trying this. I bought a book, Candlestick Charting Explained by Greg Morris and I am slowly digesting it during my morning train commute to and from work.

It's neat how the eye can be trained to see things that weren't there before. When charting now they suddenly stick out.
