Being one of the novice investors that you speak about, I am glad that I found this thread within a day to two of its creation, and I read the advice from yourself and others in the hope that I can gain some wisdom.
Unfortunately, being in Hong Kong, I read the comments after close but this does give the ability to look at the remarks and try and identify the trends that are mentioned.
My investments aims are in the long term, secure ;), stocks such as INTC, HWP and my own background of ORCL, but I look at the other stocks such as BYDS and IDTI with interest.
On the personal note, I hope your grand daughter makes it to 11 and many more after, and was it really that cold in Colorado.
