Terry,

I do not know for sure exactly what all the volume was. But the preceding two days (Thursday and Friday), from my viewpoint of watching it intraday, appeared to be days in which there was substantial accumulation in large blocks....w/out any price movement. Both days volume was abnormal. Thinking that institutions who had shorted the stock may be covering and now willing to run the stock back up (or at least let the market act as a market) I averaged down and added shares on early Friday. This is merely speculation as the volume could have been a number of things, including MMs simply trading back and forth just to gather some attention from those who may be waiting to purchase more shares. And, subsequently today, as we all saw, SIIS had more movement than it has had in some time (and thankfully it was upward movement).

So, IMO, if one is planning to avg. down or bottom fish, the time to do it is now.
