Jubimer,
You mention an "internet TV Worldwide Network". Drop the Worldwide, and the leftover initials bear a striking resemblance to the recently registered (to Ampex) domain name ITVN.com. Kind of makes you think, eh? Just out of curiosity, I also checked to see if this symbol ITVN was available on the Nasdaq - it is.
This occurred to me when I saw the domain registration. The recent PR mentioning the upcoming "Investors TV network" on TVontheWeb threw me a bit. A smallcap oriented channel doesn't sound like enough to give its own IPO. Maybe the domain...
This brings up another question I have: As TVontheWeb grows, adding channel after channel, they'll obviously have to change their interface (currently an alphabetical list of channels, each with their own nifty icon). They will probably also need to offload the channels, the high use ones at least, to their own domains. Will/should they do this explicitly or implicitly. i.e., should they just boot you off to the investors tv network site, or should they use frames or something to keep you on the main tvontheweb site (stickiness and all being important). I haven't looked closely yet, maybe they do something like this already.
Enough random thoughts for now. Cheers, William |
