I notice that directors have been granting themselves options left and right lately. Nice to know that they will be so justly rewarded for having allowed the company to underperform for so long. I'd hate to see them miss out on this opportunity to line their coffers.

Points to a major flaw in remuneration through options: directors who let a stock drop and then return it somewhere closer to its inherent value can reap more profits than those who keep the stock fully valued all along. It's like an anti-performance bonus.
