You're right, I wasn't suggesting fraud. What I was suggesting is that if Internet commerce fails to catch on with the consumer shopping habits, the corresponding drop in market capitalization for these companies will be enormous. Current prices for all the Internet companies are based on a projected revolution in how we shop. I still doubt that will happen. Cableshare in the 80's went from pennies to $50, and then fell out of sight. I don't know if they were bought out or what, but I don't think they've existed as a company for almost 15 years. How about Consumers Distributing in Canada. Few people want to buy things unless they can physically touch them. The Internet can't overcome that objection, nor can mail order, catalogue or TV shopping. While they have carved out their niche's, few would believe the companies involved in such distribution warrant P/E ratio's of 2000%.
