Piper, thank you for your "calming" report. However, I'm not sure that it changes much (except perhaps to disassociate the idea that CMTR's news releases were intended to promote Singh's stock sales -- and, of course, already lending creduality to that argument is the fact that CMTR really hasn't had that many positive news releases anyway). But you seem to accept at face value the idea that transfer of stock to family represents most of Singh's distribution and that this transfer did not result in sales (the family could well have sold the gifts immediately -- e.g. a way to pay the daugher's tuition or buy the grandson a new car without drawing down the bank account). On the other hand, I will of course admit the possibility that Dr. Singh anticipates great things ahead and wishes to share the bounty with his kin. Without knowing what has happened to those shares, we can't say for sure.

(BTW, I have no problem with company insiders selling stock. But for my confidence in the company I'd much rather see it at the higher ranges of a stock's price than at the lowest ranges).

Anyway, regardless of where the stock is coming from it does not change the fact the CMTR has been under tremendous distribution for some time (I'll accept the date of May, '96). As long as there continues to be someone (or group) that is interested in selling a sizeable number of shares at low (& lower) prices, this stock is not going to come off its base (let's hope it's a base!). Watch the price day by day. We'll know that the distribution is over when CMTR begins consistantly to end each day near it's high rather than it's low (and don't be mislead by MMs painting the ticker at the close -- i.e. last sale on the ask when the bid is much lower than the previous day's bid). It's not happening yet.

Ron
