Richard,

Settle down buckwheat!! Brick and myself have both posted several times that we are not calling you a "liar" or implying that a buyout of PMTI by Wendy's is not possible. However, it is highly IMPROBABLE! News like that may not be public knowledge - however, news like that cannot stay a secret on the street and would have surfaced by now. You even stated that you posted this information on the 7th - it is now 9 days later and not a single verification of your "inside information" has surfaced on any other forum that I know of. Brick is a credible poster both here and on AOL. He presents verifiable facts and even if the news may be a day old or even an "afternoon" old, it stimulates real, honest, verifiable discussions and conclusions. If your intent was to start some interest and get a campaign to say "NO TO 17!" - then you were successful. If your "rumor" comes true, then we will all be able to buy a golf course. Until then, I prefer base my investment strategy and positions on real facts and market momentum rather than hype or fiction. I was not born into a "wealthy family" and contemplate my investment decisions very seriously. I participate of several forums (AOL MF, AOL IN, here, etc) and try to post items of interest that are verifiable or stimulate interest. Rich, you sir have done the latter - no more.
That said, lets discuss the real news:
1. Fairly positive piece last night on PrimeTime Live with Sam Donaldson. Although they did not say any company names, the story of plastic surgery and Laser skin removal should generate more interest, which is good. Did not catch the piece that was aired on PBS, which has been said to be more positive.
2. NEXAR news is real. A wholely owned subsidiary of PMTI, they are going to market with their "upgradable computer architecture" is starting to ship. This is postive.
3. LMTI and SKATA - wish I could find out more information on these two. LMTI is rumored to have a new, propriatary laser technique and upcoming huge contracts. Any verification?
4. Run-up and interest yesterday was probably caused by news of PMTI becoming marginable in the very near future.
So, let's cut out the SHOUTING and name calling and get back to investing wisely.
John
