Fabless company can be more attractive just for that reason. NMGC has the design wins, proprietary info and the market position. Cyrix was virtually a "fabless" company before being acquired by NSM. Fabs are never a reason for a take over. Processes are different at different companies and there is a lot of risk with taking over some one else's fab. Mani
