Thursday April 8, 3:58 pm Eastern Time
FREEHOLD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 8, 1999--Maxnet, Inc. (OTC BB:MXNT - news) New Jersey based MXNT announced today that it has filed a Trademark Application in Japan for MaxPlanet/Japan.
Additionally, the Company has filed Trademark Applications for MAX!, MAX!'s characters and the character MAX! as ''The First Internet Ambassador.''
Furthermore, the Company plans to file a detailed Patent Application describing all the future possibilities for MAX! as ''The First Internet Ambassador.''
MAX! is multi-cultural and has multiple personalities; MXNT's MAX! character is seeking to mirror the many facets of the World Wide Web, and become 'The First Internet Ambassador,''' stated M. Marsowicz CTO for MXNT.
M. Marsowicz added: ''How can a User to www.MaxPlanet.com enjoy all of our programs and affiliates with so many sites and barriers? By MXNT rapidly deploying MAX!'s interactive art and graphics we are extending the www.MaxPlanet.com brand throughout our Community. Our future MAX! will be embarking on the Internet and beyond by sending MAX! to different communities as a marketing tool to develop real estate for other sites. Similar to a franchise, MAX! will be a celebrity ambassador to all entertainment mediums. By blending MAX! with personalization of an additional character and site within our community we may achieve what Yahoo, Disney, AOL and others are attempting to do disparately.''
