INTERNET ACCESS IN PROVO-OREM, UTAH
Houston, TX - April 5, 1999: IJNT.net (OTC BB: IJNT), a leading wireless and high-speed Internet access provider, today announced that its UrJet™ Wireless subsidiary will begin marketing high-speed wireless Internet access in the Provo-Orem, Utah market. The service includes free email and online technical support, a 2 Mbs web page, and high-speed, low-cost, wireless unlimited Internet access.
“Expanding our service area to Provo-Orem is a natural extension from operations in Salt Lake City,” said David Marple, IJNT's director of operations in Utah. “Provo-Orem is Utah's version of Silicon Valley. Not only is it home to Novell and Word Perfect along with a major university, Brigham Young, but there are also a host of Internet and Web-related firms looking for high-speed connectivity to the World Wide Web.”
The Company noted that UrJet Wireless' high-speed, wireless service is priced lower than competitors in the Provo-Orem area that offer wireless Internet access at comparable speeds.
UrJet Wireless provides high-speed wireless Internet access in Salt Lake City, Houston, Orange County, and the San Francisco Bay area, including Silicon Valley, Oakland, Sonoma County, Contra Costa County, and San Francisco County. Plans for a national roll-out in 1999 include New York, Chicago, San Diego, Dallas, Denver, and Atlanta; international targets include European, Latin American, and Asian markets.
In a related announcement, IJNT.net reported that UrJet Wireless completed installation of the necessary equipment in the Transco Tower in Houston, TX in order to provide high-speed wireless Internet access in the area.
Mark Wilmoth, manager at the Houston office, said, “We have an incredible interest in our new wireless system on the Transco Tower, the tallest building in the Gallaria area that is in the heart of a vibrant business community with thousands of companies. We have already pre-sold over 25 wireless installations and expect a rapid acceleration in sales as we begin an aggressive marketing campaign.”
IJNT.net provides high-speed, wireless Internet access and telephony services to homes and businesses without the use of phone lines. The Company's subscriber base is rapidly growing as the service expands nationwide. IJNT also provides website development and e-commerce services as well as dial-up Internet access throughout the U.S. and internationally. The Company's rapid growth is the result of aggressive marketing and sales, internal development, acquisitions, and strategic alliances.
