CNBC just reported on unusual trading in AOL last couple of days. They say for once it is not the little guys trading it, it is the institutions. They mentioned Merryl Lynch, Deutche Bank, and others taking some money off the table and rebalancing accounts after a huge runup. They say the surprise is how little movement there was in the stock given how many shares were traded, and how much liquidity there is in the stock. This is due to the large number of shares in the float, according to them.

Sounds to me like it is also a sign of how much buying pressure there is to step in and buy up the shares that were sold.
