Lessons from share distributions, revisited. Further clarification of the ETrade procedure, from today's Ravenswood distribution experience. The notification shows up first in the "Open Orders" section, not the "Accounts" section. (I got that wrong in the original post). The notification says: (Date) GTC Buy (# of shares) (price) Not Available.* The "Not Available" just refers to the bid-ask and is irrelevant. After a while (about a half hour-45 minutes this time for me) it disappears from "Open Orders" and appears in "Order History" (not in "Accounts"). Lesson: if you log in and don't see anything in "Open Orders", check "Order History" next. Best wishes, Tom
