The reason the next two weeks could be significant, is that some important dates are coming up. Next week we bump against the infamous April 15 - tax day. It is possible, that some people might want to sell a bit of MSFT to raise cash to pay Uncle Sam, or at least may not have as much cash to lay out on purchases of MSFT, since they have to give blood money to the IRS.

Last year, MSFT took off right after tax day, and into the follwing week, when it hit a high on April 22, which it did not surpass until June 23. So, it is possible that the combination of tax day and earnings could drive the stock over the next couple of weeks, since these are firm dates.

I'm not suggesting that history will repeat itself, since every year has it's own special circumstances, but these dates are significant under any circumstances, and could impact on how the price behaves.
