Darell, a limit order is not a good idea. Neither is a market order placed in advance. If you really want to buy it in the open market tomorrow, best bet is to track the stock on a realtime quote system after it opens and then place a market order when it seems to have found a bottom. You need a broker who will execute that order fast, though.

The reason is that under "fast market conditions" orders have priority over limit orders. Your limit order may not get filled even if the stock trades below that price. Opening day of an IPO is "fast market conditions".

My advice though is to not buy tomorrow. Wait a couple of days to see what kind of range it establishes. it is not going to shoot straight up from the opening day.

EDIT. Yeah. TLC is not joking.
