Dear Les and others following this thread,

I just wanted to hear what knowledgable investors think about the following news info:

"Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) confirmed
today that Vishay was one of the several companies reportedly interested in acquiring the Power Semiconductor Division of General Instrument Corporation"

I'm still holding onto this stock, even though it's been having a rough time lately- I just have a nagging feeling that it is going to breakout soon. It seems like we (I have anyway) have paid for all of the restructuring by now - and better times are ahead.

Anyway, what about selling the semi business? How does this fit the breakup plan? Seems like this would be good for GIC if they received what the semi group is worth, rather than pulling some strange deal and letting too many assets go with the sale.

What do you think?- good news or is there something else we should be watching & concerened about?

sincerely .. louis mason
