You see I am invested in both PAIR and CBS and it just so happens that on the very same day both of these had risen due to take over rumors that were presented in a very real fashion by the press -not to say the press intentionally play it- but they were the instrument of stock manipulation by whom I do not know. Fortunately I was on the correct end this time, not always the case. CBS's rumor was more of speculation from an announcement that a Major media event concerning the internet was scheduled for 10:30 Wednesday. Prior to this short announcement there was a story this past Monday from an online version of a newspaper gossip columnist that AOL was in talks to buy CBS. Here are the two stories so's I don't get accused of spreading falsehoods. Here is a line from the second story which leads one on: "Earlier, Robinson Lerer & Montgomery, a public relations firm with close ties to America Online had issued an advisory announcing the news conference." Notice how a speculator (who of course has been warned many times about trading off rumors) can become enticed by the PR firm having close ties with AOL but not mentioning who's involved in the "big release" which will occur on the following day. biz.yahoo.com biz.yahoo.com Oh well the deal hasn't happened but left CBS with hopeful investor's and share HOLDERS! I suspect this to be PAIR's case as well lots more holders since it's rumor which keep people hopeful. So I wouldn't refer to you as one of those weak sheep followers I would just refer to you as a normal red blooded American opportunist, one of many! LOL and hope your on the right side of the next rumor. TTOSBT
