It's currently trading at book value, reported here a while ago, which is $2.78 or so. Jerry K., who works there, reported the deal will be a stock swap, so the higher the price the better. CALPERS initiated the question about Board conflicts/ineptitude on the proxy, but with- drew it when the merger(?) was announced. I haven't heard anything else lately. I didn't attend the shareholder's meeting, but I'm sure CALPERS did! Maybe Laidlaw is having second thoughts about this deal.
