Sales of semi division

I think that this division is one of the three components of the proposed breakup. Now I really want to know what this might mean for the current GIC. Does this mean we might not be forced to accept the semi (3rd company) in the breakup? Does this mean that we get relatively more shares (by price value) in the communications & cable companies? Or, is the price of GIC in danger of falling 1/3 before the actual breakup if this sale goes through?

Maybe the management could do the investers a favor and take the profits from the semi sales and buy back some stock- or retire some of the damn debt that GIC has!

Are there any brokers on this thread who follow GIC & can spare the time to speculate on these issues?

sincerely.. louis mason
