Taiwan's Hon Hai buys $30 mln system from Compaq
TAIPEI, April 9 (Reuters) - U.S. giant Compaq Computer Corp (NYSE:CPQ - news) said on Friday it is supplying Taiwan connector and socket maker Hon Hai Precision Industry Corp with a US$30 million management system.
Under a letter of intent signed in Houston, Texas, on Thursday, Hon Hai would invest $30 million in establishing a supply chain management and enterprise resources planning system provided by Compaq, the U.S. firm said in a statement.
Compaq will complete the installation in three years, it said, adding the deal will reinforce its cooperation with Hon Hai.
