I grew up on Krispy Kreme donuts. They're good, if you like donuts, and who doesn't? Except they are very sweet, and as I've gotten older I've lost my taste for sweet things, except ice cream and chocolate. If they are cooked on the premises, the bakery usually has a light that flashes when they are freshly made and still hot and the syrup is lovely, warm and oozy.
