MigraTEC, Inc. Announces 32 to
64-Bit Upgrade Technology to
Automate Upgrades for Software
Running on Sun Microsystems'
Solaris Operating System

Factory Upgrade Service and Licensing Now Available

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 9, 1999-- MigraTEC, Inc. (OTC BB:MIGR-news) today announced the availability of its new software technology which automates the process of upgrading
software applications which utilize Sun Microsystems' (Nasdaq:SUNW - news) Solaris operating system from 32-bit to 64-bit. Sun Microsystems, with over $10.5 billion in annual revenue and
customers in over 150 countries worldwide, introduced the availability of its 64-bit operating system and hardware in January. MigraTEC's new technology automates the otherwise manual process of making changes to customers' existing software applications so they will more fully utilize the increased capabilities of Sun's 64-bit operating system. MigraTEC announced the availability of upgrade service in its own 32 to 64-bit upgrade ''factory'' as well as its plan to license the
technology to strategic services partners.

''The addition of a 32 to 64-bit upgrade tool for applications using Sun's Solaris operating system represents another milestone in MigraTEC's growing set of automated software migration tools which save significant time and money for the end customer while providing growing revenue opportunities for MigraTEC and its services partners,'' said Curtis Overstreet, MigraTEC's president. ''The potential application for MigraTEC's new tool spans literally thousands of companies which have developed their own software applications which run on Sun's operating system as well as thousands of independent software vendors who have written and market
software applications for the Sun operating platform.''
