I think the 9M posts is very important. Its a tangible way to calculate the activity of your web site. If GNET has 105K paid subscribers we are talking about an average of 85 posts per person. What does that say to me?

Individuals like you and me are contributing. Some people might say that SI is a "Technology/Investment/Financial" site. I agree that these things go on here but to me SI is first and foremost an entertainment site. I look at all these threads as different cable channels under one network. Every time we post on SI we are helping to build a community or channel. We are the actors and script writers.

Look at Tokyo Joe's site or Tim Luke's thread. Sure they talk about stocks but posters get fired up over there. Its like a soap opera at times. The more volatile the thread, the higher the posts. Remember Auric the perenial GNET short with no manners? Whether you like or hate him, it was always entertaining to read his posts and the responses.

9M posts! It says to me that SI continues to add more content every day. The day the rate or ratio of posts declines is the day I get concerned that SI is a tired product and people are moving to another site to be entertained. Just MHO.

Good luck and keep posting!
